RareKids-CAN Represents at the 6th Nordic Conference on Pediatric and Orphan Medicines

RareKids-CAN Nominated Principal Investigator Dr. Thierry Lacaze and Network Director Breanne Stewart attended the 6th Nordic Conference on Pediatric and Orphan Medicines, held June 3–4, 2025, in Helsinki, Finland.

The conference brought together leading experts in pediatric research and drug development. Day 1 focused on regulatory aspects and new approaches to clinical trials, while Day 2 highlighted practical tools, models, and innovative solutions to support the effective conduct of pediatric and orphan clinical trials—including topics such as optimizing patient recruitment, formulation, dosing, and data strategies.

Thierry and Breanne used this opportunity to strengthen relationships with international collaborators, including colleagues from FINPEDMEDconect4children (c4c), and key industry and biotech partners. These important discussions helped further promote the RareKids-CAN network internationally and reinforced our shared commitment to advancing research and improving access to therapies for children with rare diseases around the globe.
